May 24, 2026A finer finish
New
A new mark and wordmark. The leaf logo and the "timedat" wordmark have been redrawn from scratch, softer and easier to recognise.
Tuned typography across the app. Every screen got a fresh pass on hierarchy, weight, and size. Quieter labels, clearer row content, headers that breathe. On Windows and Android, the app now uses a calibrated fallback that matches the look Mac and iOS already had.
Log sessions against a space or project, not just a task. Pick a scope from the row above the task picker and finalize. The session shows up in Reports under "(No project)" inside its space, ready to switch to a real task whenever you decide.
Subtasks now split into Active and Done. Open any task with subtasks and active items sit above the line, completed ones in a quiet section below. Uncheck and they jump back to the bottom of the active list, where you'd reach for them next.
Show more on the kanban Done column. Older completed cards stay tucked away until you ask for them, matching the way Done works on your task list.
A combined overlap map on parallel rows. Expand a session that ran two tasks in parallel and you'll see a single timeline showing where the work overlapped.
Improved
Parallel-task time matches what you'll be billed for in real time. While a session is running, the parallel-task pill counts the same focus-only seconds the finalize screen would record. No more "live looks bigger than finalize" surprise.
Edit a parallel track's time mid-session. Drag a slider on a running session and hit Save. The new split sticks, and the clock keeps ticking on your main task.
Untagged hours surface per space on the dashboard. Every space gets a quiet "(No project)" tile showing the time you logged without picking a project. Click through to open the space's task list and assign the work.
Edit a task's description without leaving the modal. The description editor on a task syncs as you type, with the keyboard shortcuts where you'd expect them.
Add a task from any empty kanban column. Every empty lane, including ones hidden by your filters, now offers a New task button anchored under the right column.
Warn before demoting a saved session to scope-only. If you strip the task off a session you've already logged, you'll see a confirmation first. The time stays parked on the space or project you picked.
Fixed
The dashboard's per-project bars exclude any time you logged without picking a project, so the bars and the Reports view always agree. To see those untagged hours, open Reports under "(No project)".
Sessions you edited no longer drop their parallel tracks when you change scope.
Finishing a session that wasn't tied to a task no longer throws when you stop the timer.
Adding a task from a kanban lane that's never held one now opens the project picker under the right column.

New
Type how you'd say it — every date, time, and duration field reads natural shorthand. Type "fri", "nw mon", "3pm", "1h 30m", or "90" in a due date, a session time, or a duration field and it lands the way you'd expect. See tooltip
One editor for any session — logging a past session and wrapping up a live timer now use the same screen — same layout, same sliders, same shortcuts. Whichever way the session started, you finish it the same way. Edit, replace, or remove any task on a saved session right from the same place.
Notes on the day list — the note you wrote against a session shows up right in your day view, two lines by default with a click to read the rest.
Parallel tracks, easier to read — when a session covered more than one task, the extras collapse into an expandable row so your session list stays scannable. Click to expand; subtask checklists are tucked inside, ready when you need them.
Tabs that hold their settings — each tab on Tasks remembers its own group-by, search, and project filters. Right-click a tab to rename, pin, or close it, and share a tab's URL to jump straight back to that view.
Bulk delete preserves your hours — picking several tasks to delete now refuses anything you've tracked time against, and offers to archive them instead. You can click through to see exactly what it set aside.
Improved
Your Tasks page now groups your work naturally by space and project, sorted into To do, In progress, and Done sections. The Done section ends with a Show more, so old work stays a click away instead of scrolling past.
The Tasks page reads more calmly — quieter rows, calmer details, more readable tracked-time totals.
Each project has a monogram — a single letter you can change per project — so it's easy to recognise across your task list at a glance.
Project filters live in their space's header now, right where you'd reach for them. Click one to isolate it; ⌘-click to add another. The list and the New task button follow along.
Each task row picks up a thin stripe in its project's colour, and hovering a project filter dims everything except the rows it owns.
When a task has both a date and a time, your due-date column stacks them on two lines instead of squashing them together.
The session task picker keeps your recent and up-next tasks at the top, and its search follows the space and project filters you have set.
Mark a task done from inside the session editor and its track locks in place — the other sliders won't quietly rebalance the time you already accounted for.
The session editor's date picker spans a date range, and two quick buttons — Reset to recorded and Update End to now — let you correct a drifted live timer in one click.
Session sliders move in one-second steps under an hour, and the time readout shows seconds — a forty-second session no longer reads as 0:00.
Sessions you logged after the fact show parallel tasks the same way live sessions do — in your day list, in the editor, everywhere.
On phone, tap any completed session row to open it for editing — no need to aim at the pencil.
Spaces, Tasks, and your dashboard load faster, especially when there's a lot to show.
Quick Switch hides done tasks you finished more than a week ago, matching what your Tasks page shows.
Fixed
Sessions you edited no longer double-count parallel tracks against their tasks.
Your active session card now reflects every parallel task you've added, not just the primary one.
Subtask checklists are back inside the session editor's track rows.
The session editor stays on the right task when you change selection mid-edit — no more flicker.
Cancel is back on the left of the session editor, and Add task sits in the filter row where you'd expect.
Adding a task while a single project filter is active now drops the new task into that project automatically.
The checkmark on Done tasks and the Show all link no longer overlap.
Hovering a row in your session list no longer washes out the shading on related rows.

May 3, 2026A wider view
New
Spaces, at a glance — Spaces now shows the overall status and what's in flight for each one: projects, the last 48 hours of activity, what's coming up next week, and any notifications — so you can see what needs attention at a glance.
Tasks — a single page for every open task, grouped by due date or when you created or last touched them. Flip any tab to kanban, select a few rows to change status together, and search inline.
Tabs that follow you — pin a space or project on Spaces and it's right there when you switch to Tasks (and vice versa). Same tab, same filters, no re-pinning.
Live presence — when a teammate starts tracking, their avatar lights up on your space's activity feed with a quiet "live" pill, so you can see who's working right now without asking.
Smarter session wrap-up — split your time across parallel tracks with sliders that respect your real active minutes, lock any row you don't want rebalanced, and edit start, end, and break to the second. Tiny gaps fold back into your main task instead of getting orphaned.
Improved
Multi-select on tasks — pick a few rows on Tasks and change status, archive, or clear them together
Scheduled and recurring tasks have their own sections on the Tasks page, and a sticky jump strip lets you hop straight to Today, Tomorrow, Scheduled, or Recurring — click a due date to edit it without opening the task
Each project shows how many tasks are open and how much you've tracked against it this week — and you can rename or recolor it inline by hovering
Search on Tasks shows a matching snippet on each row, with an optional toggle to also search descriptions
The Tasks tag filter dedupes by name across spaces, so a tag named "Bug" used in two spaces collapses into a single chip
Spaces opens noticeably faster, especially when you have a lot going on
Fixed
The Archived filter on Tasks now shows archived tasks when you toggle it on
Cancelling the description editor on a task no longer saves a half-edit by accident
The "see more" link on a space's activity feed now opens yesterday's sessions, filtered to that space
Relative due dates stay correct around midnight and daylight-saving transitions
If you switched away from a task mid-session, its row no longer shows a Start button you can't click
Icon-only controls (search toggle, status filters) now read correctly to screen readers
Sub-task order stays stable as you check items off, even on tasks where some are already done
Done tasks stay visible (with a strikethrough) in the date-grouped Tasks list instead of disappearing
